Like XTC, I've been a member and friend to the sites (and hopefully to the webmasters!) for many years now.

I currently live in DC, although since joining the sites I have lived in Spain, Texas, Florida, St Louis, and now here.

I am a translator/linguist (Spanish/Arabic/Italian/read Portuguese/fuddle my way through French), and I currently travel around the world for my job. Getting to see so many places and meet so many people, most of which a lot of people would either never get to see or may have never even heard of, has been educational and fun. But it also can get a little scary at times because of where I go, and it's definitely lonely to come home to an empty house.

I grew up in CT, went to college in VT, and have moved 24 times in the last 14 years. The longest I have ever lived in one dwelling is probably the one I'm in now, and I have been here for 13 months...but getting ready to possibly move to Miami over the summer. I grew up in the family's Italian restaurant, and I love to cook! I'm constantly coming up with new things and entertaining friends or catering parties for them. Although I love my current job for the fun and benefits (and salary), I hope to one day open a restaurant of my own. All I need is a pastry chef/manager/waitstaff manager/accountant. I know one, but she's busy at the moment. ;)

Never been married, and no kids that I've been told about. I'd love to change both of those facts, but, again, she's busy at the moment.

Obviously, I ride a Harley (Road King), and despite my traveling more than 50% of the year, I still manage to put on about 10K miles a year - pretty damn good I'd say. I'm an Iron Butt Association member, and also a member of Mensa, beleive it or not (although no longer active).

I was a linguist in the Navy for four years, then as I pinned on E-5 I went to OCS to be a pilot. They wanted me to be a navigator, so I pulled chocks and got back into my languages again as a civilian, and my departing rank was just upgraded in the inactive reserves to Lieutenant (O-3)...just like Maverick in Top Gun, but taller, cuter, and I don't jump on couches.

Well, that's about it. There probably isn't much in here that I haven't already blabbed about at one point of another (sorry about that), but hopefully you learned SOMETHING new to make it worth while.

It might be fun if XTC adds more about me. She knows me pretty well. So without further ado, I'll hand over the mic to her. X?...

I can be seen most often speeding on my motorcycle and/or flipping off the cars around me, playing on the Internet (music and porn is really all the Internet was made for anyway), or hard at work (no pun intended). I am a translator/linguist (Spanish/Arabic/Italian/read Portuguese/fuddle my way through French), and I travel around the world for my job. I guess everyone wants a piece of the Pig! :) God that was cheesy.

Hmph... you sure you want that?:smug:
