I am probably one of the quietest members of BB/TD. I was born and raised in Texas but I am certainly no cowboy. I relate more with the "Pink Floyd" generation. Have pretty much lived my entire life in Texas except for those years (longer ago than I want to admit!) that I played minor league baseball. Most of that time was spent in California and Arizona. My wife followed me around all that time and somehow managed to get her college degree. She is the Head of Emergency Services for the hospital district where we live now out in West Texas.

Made it up to AAA ball before a car accident ended my professional career. Fully healed, I tried coaching and hated it. The corporate world came calling and I went to work for the then AT&T subsidiary of Southwestern Bell. Many years later and up the corporate ladder I am now once again working for AT&T since SBC (previous SWBT) has bought them out. I am in corporate security and pretty much oversee all of West Texas. When we bought AT&T, I was also given overseer-ship of New Mexico.

Who knows where this goes from here?? LOL If they offered me retirement and a golden parachute I would be gone!

As far as interests. Besides my two girls (one grown and married and one 13 years old!) I, of course, love beautiful women, fast cars, rock music, fantasy sports (yes, I'm a little bit of a geek!), and family time. Usually the time I spend on here or BB/TD is before the wife comes home or when I am on the road. I know it sucks to some for me to say this but I am a VERY devoted husband and father. I could have everything else taken away and as long as I still had them I would consider myself whole. (Geesh! That was sappy!).

Anyway, too much info probably for one post. Enjoy the pics and reading the comments.

Later!

Lethal,

Thanks for writing that. I found it genuine, interesting and even charming. It's always uplifting to find a genuine human being out there in the muck.

welcome !

I heard Cingular is switching their name back to AT&T again. I think there was something about it on the Colbert Report last night. He did a graph of how in the 80's it was all AT&T, and then they broke it up and now its back to all being AT&T. Sounds like a fun place to work. :suspicious:

I used to be a lineman for SNET (New England) and then they were bought by SBC as well. Aww...we're almost brothers, Lethal! :)

Thanks for the bio. Nice to "meet" you. I think you said you're in Lubbock, right? I mentioned I was stationed in San Angelo twice. Nice roads to go speeding through the hills and farms.
