It's the first day of summer, which to me means margaritas, and lots of rum based drinks (preferably featuring little umbrellas - to shade the ice, of course!)
What's your favorite drink?
For me in the winter: vodka and tonic, preferably grey goose, if I'm not going budget... or a beer, hefewiezen, if you please.
In the summer, like I said, margaritas (Watermelon (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_28573,00.html?rsrc=search)are my favorite, thanks Bobby Flay (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_28573,00.html?rsrc=search)) or anything with rum. Currently I'm drinking a rum and coke made with coke zero (my first time trying that - and it's not to shabby). If I'm on vacation, make it a pina colada!
How about you guys... what is your alcoholic beverage of choice?

I like a really good cognac if the funds allow it, but I've been told this is definitely a cool weather drink.
In the heat of the summer... Gin & tonics are nice and refreshing, as are vodka tonics - especially if you get Stoli Citros. Vodka is great because it's so versatile. My time at college will attest to this... Screwdrivers, v+cranberry, v+kool aid if you're feeling ghetto, vodkajelloshots, etc. The traditional rum & coke is hard to beat, as is a pina colada - or any other frozen "island" drink that is mixed well. And of course you can't go wrong with the simplicity of an ice cold beer.
As you can tell, I usually have a hard time deciding when I get to the bar. I'm fine with about anything though, as long as it's not too sweet. (bleh)
PS - I forgot about wine.. I'm a big fan of red wines almost any time of day, but especially in the early evening.

I just prefer a simple domestic beer and a shot on the side.Nothing fancy.
Now and then if I drink a imported beer. La Batt's Blue does the trick.
As for mix drinks... A Bicardi and Coke.In my case Bicardi and Pepsi. (Hate Coke)
Used to be big on the mixed drinks, but I had to get away from that.

Blasphemy! (j/k) I'm not a big Pepsi fan anyway, and I'm known for giving people a hard time when they use it to make mixed drinks... especially rum & Cokes. But to each his own. :)

Never had one of those before. I had a bad gin experience once that scarred me for life... I don't think I can bring myself to drink it ever again. :dancing_hmm:

Ah... I forgot about White Russians! There's nothing like a good WR -- your mouth thinks you're drinking iced coffee and your brain thinks you're doing shots.
I'm not quite as sophisticated when it comes to drinks like Betsy is. I don't have drinks for each season...lol. I prefer beer...and usually it's Miller Lite. Although I have been known to drink imported beers such as Corona, Heineken, Fosters...etc. Anything except for Budweiser. Shots of Jack Daniels are good. But I also enjoy mixed shots such as Surfer On Acid, Scooby Snacks, Purple Hooters and Slippery Nipples. All this drinking can lead to hang overs. My best hang over cure for the morning after is 4 Advil, toast and Gatorade. What's your best hang over cure?

Pretty much sounds like mine - lots of advil, some whole wheat toast, and vitamin water, if i have it. Gatoraid will work too. I have a friend who swears by Pedialite (that stuff you give sick kids).
